reported in the area of South K Street and College Avenue at 6:56 p.m. A male subject wearing a beanie, green jacket and blue shorts was reportedly walking in the middle of the road carrying a baseball bat.
• Subjects were reportedly setting off illegal fireworks in the 1600 block of Houston Street at 11:12 p.m.
Saturday, March 9
• A board was reportedly removed from the old State Theater in the 200 block of North L Street. It was reported at 8:48 a.m.
• Subjects reportedly broke a lock to a bathroom and were inside it in the 100 block of South L Street. It was reported at 12:54 p.m.
• A group of males were reportedly drinking alcohol at the entertainment plaza at 12:56 p.m.
• A theft report was made in the 100 block of East El Monte Way at 6:16 p.m. A camera was reportedly stolen from the Dinuba Chiropractor building.
Sunday, March 10
• An assault was reported from Reedley Emergency Room at 3:49 p.m. The victim stated she was attacked at the McDonalds on East El Monte Way while sitting in her vehicle.
• Vandalism was reported in the 300 block of West Nebraska Avenue at 4:46 p.m. Children reportedly threw items at a vehicle and broke the windshield.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 1600 block of Akers Way at 6:40 p.m.
• Vehicles were reportedly racing in the 2100 block of East El Monte Way at 9:16 p.m.
• Subjects reportedly entered a residence through a window in the 900 block of East Whittaker Way at 11:52 p.m.
Herminia Marroquin
Herminia Marroquin, a resident of Dinuba, died March 4, 2019. She was 85.
She was a retired farm laborer.
Services were held Tuesday, March 12.
Surviving family members include two sons, three daughters, two brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
Mary Luisa Alvarez
Mary Luisa Alvarez, a resident of Dinuba, died March 6, 2019. She was 76.
She was self employed.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Wake service will be held at 6 p.m.
Surviving family members include her spouse, three sons and two daughters.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

Monday, March 4
• Suspicious subjects were reported at KC Park at 12:04 a.m. Two vehicles, an SUV and a sedan, were seen in the area and a male was seen trying to put subjects in a vehicle.
• A passenger at the Dinuba Transit Center witnessed another passenger smoking meth there. It was reported at 10:27 a.m.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 300 block of East Tulare Street at 11:23 a.m.
• A reckless driver was reported in the area of West El Monte Way and Monte Vista at 12:09 p.m. The vehicle was described as a green Jaguar. It reportedly almost hit another vehicle.
• Two pitbulls, black in color, jumped on a female subject in the 2000 block of East Olive Way and almost bit her. It was reported at 12:44 p.m.
• Suspicious subjects were reported in the 600 block of North Bates Avenue at 3:33 p.m. A male and female were reportedly looking into backyards in the area.
• An assault was reportd in the 200 block of South O Street at 11:00 p.m. The subject reportedly left the scene in a dark blue Ford F150.
Tuesday, March 5
• A theft report was made in the 1100 block of North Villa Avenue at 12:30 a.m. A male subject reportedly took money from a purse in an apartment there.
• A sofa was reportedly on the roadway near the intersection
of South Crawford Avenue and Sierra Way. It was reported at 2:39 a.m.
• Trespassers were reported in the 100 block of North L Street at 8:27 a.m. Subjects were reportedly seen entering a vacant business behind the vocational center.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 1300 block of North Alta Avenue at 11:12 a.m. A subject reportedly broke into a shed and was seen nearby.
• A subject on a bike was reportedly seen trying to get into the old veterinarian hospital in the 1700 block of East El Monte Way at 5:12 p.m.
• A dog reportedly tried to attack a male subject in the 400 block of Euclid Avenue at 6:38 p.m.
Wednesday, March 6
• A theft report was made in the 300 block of South Alta Avenue at 7:25 a.m. A subject reportedly walked out of a store concealing a beer under his jacket.
• A theft report was made in the area of Sarah and Euclid avenues at 9:59 a.m. A generator was reportedly stolen from the area.
• A German Shepherd reportedly tried attacking a small dog that was being walked in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Saginaw Way. It was reported at 4:46 p.m.
• Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of South L Street. Transients vandalised a dumpster in the alley there. It was reported at 5:20 p.m.
• A female subject reportedly approached another female with a knife in the 1600 block of Eaton Avenue and then left the scene in the white Mitsubishi Galant. It was reported at 7:57 p.m.
• Several subjects were reportedly living in the alley near a breeze way in the 100 block of South L Street. It was reported at 8:17 p.m.
Thursday, March 7
• Vandalism was reported at Dickey Park at 7:53 a.m. Damage and possibly drugs were found at the park.
• A suspicius vehicle was reported in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Saginaw Way at 10:01 a.m. A male subject was reportedly parked in a vehicle on the east side of Lincoln Elementary School.
• A theft report was made in the 900 block of West El Monte Way at 12:21 p.m. Palm trees were reportedly stolen.
• A trespasser was reported in the 500 block of West Kern Street at 3:38 p.m. A subject was at a residence there that had recently burned.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 200 block of Gladys Avenue at 10:40 p.m. A subject wearing a flannel shirt, glasses, a backpack and a baseball cap was reportedly casing the area.
Friday, March 8
• A public disturbance was reported in the 100 block of North H Street at 11:19 a.m. A subject in a backyard reportedly broke a window there.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the 200 block of West El Monte Way at 3:11 p.m. A subject involved in the accident was reportedly complaining of neck pain.
• A suspicious subject was reported at Magnolia Market at 3:14 p.m. A subject in a gray jacket, black shorts and long socks was reportedly trying to break into a car there.

Patty Dicochea, 59, of Cutler,
CA went home to be with the Lord
on February 22nd of 2019. Patty was
known throughout the community of Cutler. She attended schools in Cutler/Orosi and raised her family in Cutler. She worked as fruit packer and had a heart of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Manuel Dicochea Sr., one brother Manual Dicochea, sisters, Josie Medina, Georgia Nanez and Mildred Apodaca.
Patty is survived by her husband Arturo Montonya Sr., two daughters Michelle and Yvonne Garcia and  ve sons, Arturo Jr., Jesse, Rogelio, Rigo (Rodrigo), Rolondo Montoya all of Cutler and seven grandchildren, sisters; Vickie Lopez, Sylvia Venegas and Frances Dicochea, Brothers; Cruz, Johnny, Ernie, Jesse and Raymond Dicochea, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the Cutler Apostolic Church. A church services will be at 11 a.m., followed by internment service at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Anthony Augustine Alvarez Jr.
March 20, 1971 ~ March 3 2019
On Sunday, March 3rd, 2019, Anthony Augustine Alvarez Jr. was suddenly called home to be with the Lord at the young age of 47. He was loving father to his son Anthony Augustine Alvarez III of Corcoran CA, his daughter Samantha Alvarez of Visalia CA, grandparents Alfonso Sr. and Mary Alvarez of Cutler CA, his sister Valerie Alvarez of Visalia CA and his nephews and niece Jordan, Kobe, and Jaelynn Kimble all of Dinuba CA.
Preceded in death by parents Anthony Sr. and Christine Alvarez, sister Jennifer Alvarez Kimble, grandparents Ysabel and Margaret Villegas and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dinuba, Ca. at 1 PM, followed by a graveside service at Smith Mountain Cemetery. Condolences can be made to www.salseranddillard.com.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.
