Workers needed for upcoming Fresno Co. elections

Brandi Orth, Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, is looking for Fresno County residents interested in actively par- ticipating in County elec- tions as election workers and election outreach coordinators. These part- time paid positions will help to support elections activities throughout the County during peak elec- tion season.
“Our Election Work- ers are the core essence of any election,” Orth said. “These dedicated individuals are involved in every aspect of our elections and are crucial to delivering a success- ful and efficient voting process.
"It is our collective goal here at the Elec- tions Department, to en- sure that Fresno County voters have an all-around positive voting experi- ence.”
The Elections Office is currently recruiting for the following two po- sitions:

Crash
topples
power pole
in Dinuba
Power was momentarily dis- rupted in some parts of Dinuba on Oct. 18, after a pickup truck driven by a juvenile male crashed into a power pole on the corner of East El Monte Way and South Crawford Avenue. The crash toppled the power pole, causing first responders to temporarily close the intersection. No injuries were reported and PG&E was called out to restore power.

Hundreds ofemployees from Ruiz Foods in Dinuba and Tulare dressed in pink on Oct. 17 to participate in the company’s fifth annual ‘Pink Out’ Day.
The company encourages its team members to dress in pink for the day in support of the fight against breast cancer awareness during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. For each team member who participates, Ruiz Foods donates $5 to the Kaweah Delta Foundation. As of the end of the day on Thursday, as many as 574 employees dressed in pink, amounting to a donation in the amount of $2,870.
“For the last five years, the Ruiz Foods Team Members have dedicated this month to helping the Kaweah Delta Foundation and their breast health center,” said head of Ruiz Foods Community Relations, Blan- ca Santana. “We are committed to showing that together we can help fight and work to find a cure for this devastating disease.”
