Heading into the semi- final match against Tulare Western, Coach Velarde said he believes the team is good enough to win.
“We have been in this po- sition six years in a row,” Ve- larde said. “We have to flip the switch. This team is good enough to win the Valley Championship.”

Clarissa Hall competes at state championships
Clarissa Hall, Immanuel High Eagles track and field athlete (right), competed at the California Winter Track and Field Championships on Feb. 17 in Arcadia.
Hall finished in fifth place in the triple jump event. Hall had a personal best triple jump of 36 feet, nine inches.
Hall is a sophomore at Immanuel High School.
The Immanuel High Eagles track and field team will participate in the Sanger Spring Classic on Saturday, March 3, in Sanger.

The Reedley College Ti- gers baseball team improved to 7-5 overall as of Feb. 20, after a win over Sacramento City College and a two-game split against De Anza College.
The Tigers beat Sacra- mento City College 4-2 on Feb. 15 at Reedley College.
Reedley College then lost to De Anza College 11-9 on Feb. 16 but then defeated De Anza College 10-8 on Feb. 17.
On Feb. 15, Brady Bar- cellos earned the win on the mound, pitching eight innings, allowing two runs and striking out nine batters. Cooper Mor- rison had two RBIs, while Josh Mares and Gabe Grijalva each had one.
On Feb. 16, the Tigers lost to De Anza College 11-9 in 11 innings. The Tigers held a 6-2 lead after seven innings be- fore De Anza College scored three runs in the top of the eighth and ninth innings.
They then scored three runs in the 11th inning to win. Evan Sagariballa pitched seven innings, allowing just two runs and striking out four
batters.
Schyler Sicoli had a home
run and four RBIs.
On Feb. 17, Reedley Col-
lege defeated De Anza College 10-8.
Down 8-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Tigers scored four runs to take the lead.
Brandon Steele got the win on the mound, pitching one inning in relief.
Damien Holmes and Gri- jalva each had two RBIs.
The Tigers played Mon- terey Peninsula on Feb. 20 at
Reedley College.

Reedley College will play a double header against Gavilan College on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Reedley College.
RC Men’s Basketball
The Reedley College Tigers men’s basketball team ended their season with an 87-71 vic- tory over Porterville College on Feb. 17 in Porterville.
The Tigers finished the season 10-16 overall and 6-8 in the Central Valley Confer- ence.
On Feb. 17, Hassan Bolden led the Tigers with 26 points, nine rebounds and four as- sists. Elijah Jefferies had 24 points, while Ruben Parks scored 19 points.
Alfredo Jimenez had 13 points and 13 rebounds.
RC Women’s Basketball
Led by 21 points and eight rebounds from I'man Conley, the Reedley College Tigers women’s basketball team closed the season with a win over Porterville College.
The Tigers defeated Por- terville College 70-63 on Feb. 17 in Porterville.
Reedley College was 13-13 overall and 4-8 in the CVC.
Nyla Curtis scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds, while Gerniah Martin and Jelani Williford each had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Stephanie Cervantes also had eight points.
