nals against Riverpark Navy. The Reedley 12-year-old stars got off to a hot start in district play at Madera National Little League com- plex, edging Madera Ameri- can 2-1 on June 22 and thumping Sunnyside by an 11-1 score on June 23. That earned them a semifinal matchup against host Made-
ra National.
Reedley was outscored
10-6 in a high-scoring contest on June 24, but still remained just one win from a berth in the finals. On June 26, Reed- ley took on the winner of Sel- ma and Riverpark, with the survivor taking on Madera National at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27. Selma and Riverpark played on June 25.
The tournament champi- on will advance to play in the Section 7 state qualifiers tour- nament beginning next week. That tourney will be hosted by District 34, consisting of teams from Tulare and Kings counties.
