A look at the 2019 Reedley Relay for Life

“The laps in the morning were for the care- givers and survivors, and we walked it because we were our mom’s caregivers,” she said. “And even just walking that gets us emotional. And being here, hearing everyone else’s stories, it still affects us a lot.”
The Reedley Relay for Life ran from 9 a.m. on April 27 to 9 a.m. on April 28.
Event highlights included a survivors lap at the start of the Relay and a luminary event at nightfall on April 27. There was music, food and crafts booths and other activities through- out the event.

For us, the timestamp for Relay for Life, every year now it gets to us because we are doing this to honor her. Because not everyone knows about ovarian cancer. It’s a cancer that you can’t detect, it’s hard to find and by the time you find it, you’re already at stage 4.
