New school board president Pete Filippi presented former board president Marcy Masumoto with a plaque expressing appreciation for her service and a framed photo of the board while she was serving as president. The leadership change took place at the board's regular reorganization meeting several weeks ago.

This week's featured Pet of the Week is beautiful blue- eyed Nola. She is a spayed, 1-2 year old husky. She's very good with other dogs and kids. She loves to play and run and needs an active forever home.
