Woman arrested after trying to stab man with mechanical pencil
Staff Report
Reedley police arrested a 48-year-old woman who as- saulted and threatened to stab a man by using a mechanical pencil after breaking into a trailer on Oct. 24.
Pamela Acosta of Reedley was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of a
assault with a deadly weapon, a burglary charge for forcibly entering the trailer, and a pro- bation violation.
Reedley police Sgt. Det. Bryan Pelayo said the incident began just after 2 p.m. when Acosta allegedly pushed her way into a trailer parked in the backyard of a residence in the 1500 block of J Street. A man and woman were in-
side the trailer, Pelayo said, and Acosta allegedly cursed and threatened the man by wielding the mechanical pen- cil. She claimed property had been stolen from her.
Acosta left the scene and the victims called police. Pelayo said Acosta was ar- rested about two hours later at a residence in the 2200 block of 13th Street.
