pay back the damage that is done.
“This is something that is helpful in the county
where there is a lot of dumping on farms, public parks, rural areas, where people just drive out to the side of the road and dump their trash.”
“We are a non-partisan committee,” GAC Chair Reda Bennani told the representatives present. “But we do have a mission, and our mission is to advocate on behalf of commerce. And so our position will always be pro-commerce, pro- business, and anything that effects our local businesses you will see us knocking on your door.”
Bennani went on to add, “We are against red tape... Commerce is the main motor to our economy. We are an Ag industry area and it’s difficult for us to see what’s going on in Sacramento.”
Also attending last Wednesday's GAC meeting was newly-sworn Tulare County Supervisor Eddie Valero. Known for his many hats, Valero may need to add a few more to his collection as he told the committee that he was recently appointed to ten additional committees.
Among those he was appointed to are the Ag Policy Advisory Committee, the Countywide Oversight Committee, the Gang Task Force, the Kings River East Groundwater Sustainability Agency and the Tulare County Association of Governments.
