After a brief uptick, overall case numbers grew at a slow pace again in Tulare County cities. Dinuba contin- ued to hold the largest number of overall cases; 8,057 since the pandem- ic began two years ago. But the city had an in- crease of just nine cases for the week, a good sign for a region that had been a hot spot during high case spikes.
Orosi cases increased by just six for the week, and Cutler's case load was even lighter with two additional cases. A recent upturn in Traver appears to have wanted, as no new cases were re- ported for the week.

Orosi is one of four small California com- munities that are get- ting a big boost in wire- less connectivity from AT&T.
The organization's customer and FirstNet subscribers in the Tu- lare County city – along wth Big Meadows, Bur- ney, Huron in Kings County and Marysville — will receive the ben- efits of new cell towers placed in these loca- tions. This is designed to enhance the area's 4G coverage and help give residents and first responders faster, more reliable wireless service.
In a March 21 news release, AT&T said their subscribers will experience marked im- provement with their network as well as on FirstNet – the nation's public safety network. Subscribers will have access to always-ohm 23-hours-a-day priority and preemption across voice and data.
AT&T also an- nounced that the en- hancements bring Band 14 spectrum to
the area. Band 14 is na- tionwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specif- ically for FirstNet. The company views Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. In an emer- gency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked only for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.
The improvements are designed to help AT&T wireless cus- tomers in Orosi and the other rural com- munities an improved overall coverage ex- perience. Residents, visitors, and businesses can take advantage of the AT&T spectrum bands, as well as Band 14 when capacity is available.
From 2018 to 2020, AT&T invested more than $8.5 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Califor- nia. These investments were designed to boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall per- formance for residents and their businesses.
