Jacob Franco delivered a pair of doubles while going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI. Justin Rackley and Roger Ortiz each went 1-for-4 with a double and RBI while Matthew Vargas and Clint Hinojosa each went 1-for-3 with a double and walk.
The Pirates were hoping to work through possible rain to get in two Easter Classic games at Madera High School
on April 16. Reedley took on Hanford West in the early afternoon and then faced Bu- hach Colony from Atwater in a late-afternoon contest. Results were unavailable at press time.
Reedley closed out the tournament on April 17 against Hanford High at Hoover High School in Fres- no. The Pirates then will re- sume North Yosemite League action on Wednesday, April 24, at home against Sunnyside High in a 3:30 p.m. start.
Last week, the Pirates swept McLane in two games at Reedley High. The first was a 12-2 decision on April 9 as Rackley went 4-for-4 including
a triple while driving in four runs. Will Gagnon was 2-for-3 with a double, Jacob Gagnon 2-for-3 with three runs scored while Matt Vargas doubled and scored three runs. Oscar Lemus picked up the pitching victory striking out seven.
The second game was switched from McLane High to Reedley when the High- landers' field wasn't avail- able. The Pirates pulled out a 5-4 win with Roger Ortiz tripling and picking up the pitching victory. Jacob Ga- gnon went 2-for-3 with a double and stolen base while Rackley and Will Gagnon also collected doubles.

Reedley is idle until Wednesday. April 24, when they travel to Fresno to play McLane in a 3:30 p.m. start. The Pirates then play at Fresno High on Friday, April 26, before hosting their final regular season home game on Tuesday, April 30, against Hoover.
Eagles get a win at Fowler tourney
Immanuel High picked up its third victory of the sea- son at the Fowler Invitation- al on April 13, blanking the Mendota Aztecs 11-0 behind the one-hit pitching perfor- mance of Brianna Duncan.
Duncan paced the of- fense as well with a 4-for-4 effort including a home run, double and five runs batted in. Mia Barbosa went 2-for-3.
Immanuel (3-15-1) lost 8-1 to Chowchilla on April 13 and 16-0 to Washington Union on April 15. Duncan was 2-for-4 with a double while Kacey Walker doubled against Chowchilla.

Reedley High catcher Jacob Gagnon tracked down a foul popup to record an out against Clovis West High in the opening day of play in the Fresno Easter Classic on April 15. The host Golden Eagles scored three runs in the seventh inning to pull out a 9-8 victory over the Pirates.

On April 12, the Eagles competed in the Sanger Metric Classic with the girls placing 12th and the boys 21st in varsi- ty competition. Hall turned in a pair of fourth place finishes with marks of 16-11 1/2 in the long jump and 35-6 3/4 in the triple jump. The relay team of Howard,
Breckenridge, Wood and Hall were sev- enth and ninth in the 4x100 and 4x400, respectively, while Ott finished 13th in the shot put.
For the IHS boys, Philpott took fourth in the varsity discus while fresh- man Joel Regier was ninth in the frosh- soph discus with a PR of 100-4.
Reedley and Immanuel participated in the Sanger Easter Classic on April 16 at the Dodson Field track next to Tom Flores Stadium in Sanger. Results and highlights will run in the April 25 issue of The Exponent.

Warkentin collects five hits as FPU splits twinbill
Reedley's Michael Warkentin collected five hits during a doubleheader split, and Fresno Pacific Universi- ty won three of four PacWest Conference games against Holy Names last week in Al- ameda. On April 12, the Sun- birds captured the first game 6-5 before dropping the night- cap by a 9-5 score. They then swept the Hawks by scores of 9-5 and 4-1 on April 13 to im-
prove to 14-19 overall, 10-10 in conference play.
Warkentin, a redshirt sophomore, went 3-for-4 in the firstwinoverHolyNames,de- livering an RBI single and lat- er scoring during a three-run seventh inning rally. Warken- tin later scored the Sunbirds' final run. In the second game loss, Warkentin went 2-for-4 with a walk and was 0-for-2 in his two plate appearances on April 13. For the season, he's hitting a team-high .344 with 33 hits, 11 runs scored and seven runs batted in.
Reedley's Adam Aleman was 1-for-4 with a double and run scored in FPU's second game win on April 13. His sea- sonbattingaverageis.253with 20 hits – three of them doubles — and eight runs scored.
Over the next three weeks, Fresno Pacific closes out the season with a 12-game homestead. A four-game set this weekend with Point Loma University includes a double- header starting at 2 p.m. Fri- day, April 19, and twinbill starting at noon on Saturday, April 20.
