The City tied the game on a touchdown pass late in the first half, then took the lead early in the fourth quarter when a bad snap on a coun- ty punt rolled out of the end zone. An interception then set up a 1-yard run by Roosevelt's Angel Maldonado to make it 15-7, City.
Tompkins hooked up with Preston Conti from Minarets for a touchdown with a little more than three minutes re- maining. The two-point try failed, but the County forced a punt and moved into position for the victory.
Bullard's Jacob Levato preserved the win for the City by blocking Tompkins' 22-yard field goal attempt with little more than a minute remaining.
Maldonado and Clements shared game MVP honors while the City's Alonzo Pol- lard (Fresno) and the County's Lisandro Solorio (Fowler) won Most Inspirational Awards.
