Sanger will host
Reedley High on Tues- day, Dec. 10, in a rivalry game. The Pirates start- ed the season 2-1-1, los- ing their first match of the season 4-0 to Clovis North. They then went on to beat Selma, 5-2, and Dinuba, 3-2, before tying with Buchanan on Nov. 26, 3-3.
Sanger is coming off a 13-10-5 season last year, going 5-3-2 in league play. They entered the CIF Cen- tral Section’s Division II playoffs as the No. 3 seed and made it all the way to champion- ship game. In a match- up with No. 1 seeded Tulare Western, the Apaches ended regula- tion of the title game in a tie with the Mustangs and then lost in an over- time shootout, 3-0.
The Apaches return 12 players from last year’s roster.

Tigers mens' basketball now 6-2 after losing to Solano College
MVT Staff Report
Both non-league losses for the Reedley College men’s basketball Tigers have come on their home court.
Solano College led from start to finish on the way to a 92-84 non-conference vic- tory over the Tigers last Wednesday night at Reedley’s Paul Mitchell Court. The loss dropped Coach T.J. Jennings’ squad to 6-2 on the season.
Every time the Tigers would cut into the lead, the Falcons would battle back. It
didn’t help that the Tigers’ top two scorers, Hassan Bolden and Uriel Carter, would get in foul trouble and eventually foul out of the contest.
Carter led all scorers with 29 points while Bolden followed with 25 points and 14 rebounds. No other Tiger finished in double figures.
The Tigers return to the court on Thursday at 1 p.m. against Napa Valley in the 42nd annual James Clark Invitational in Sacramento. The tournament honors the longtime Cosumnes River College coach.

College of the Sequoias Tom Gilcrest Tournament.
The Bulldogs jumped out to 10-2 lead and never looked back. Reedley did get within 17-10 after one quarter.

the 2nd quarter.
Junior Aidan Rodriguez returned
the ensuing kickoff 42 yards to Bish- op’s 39. Running back Dominic Mar- tinez had runs of 3 and 8 yards to put the ball inside the 30. The promising drive ended on an incomplete pass from Lara to Rodriguez with 8:43.
The Cardinals would force an- other Bishop punt. OHS moved the ball into scoring position but the turnover bug bit once again as Mar- tinez fumbled and was recovered by the Broncos at the 20.
McClean, who completed 8 of 10 passes for 152 yards and ran for
141 yards on 21 carries, would or- chestrate an 80-yard drive and score from a yard out for a 13-0 lead just before the end of the half.
That was a huge momentum booster for Bishop as they extend- ed its lead to 20-0 on a 32-yard pass from McClean to wide receiver Joe Weaver with 10:34 in the third quar- ter.
Orosi needing an answer and marched to Bishop’s 25 only to be denied by their fourth turnover of the game. The turnover led to anoth- er scoring opportunity for the Bron- cos as McLean capped off a 75-yard, 10 play drive with a 3-yard run.
The Cardinals would finally break through on a 20-yard TD run by Martinez in the early moments of
the fourth quarter. But the Broncos quickly answered with a 20-yard run by Jon Torres with 6:26 in the game.
“They threw the ball and ran when they needed to,” White said. “Nevertheless, we had a historically great season to be proud of.”
Martinez had a game-high 153 yards on 28 carries as he finished the year leading the Valley in rush- ing with 2,279 yards.
Lara struggled completing 5 of 19 passes for 81 yards and wide re- ceiver Justin Marroquin had two catches for 40 yards.
Edgard Dominguez led the Car- dinals defensively with five tackles while John Meraz, Juan Flores, An- drew Arechiga and A. Rodriguez had four apiece.
