Dinuba Police Department arrests in the last week.
• Alfredo Tovar Cervantes, 54, of Dinuba was booked on May 20 on suspicion of battery to a spouse or date, making threats with the intent to terrorize and battery on a person, a misdemeanors.
According to police, officers were dispatched to an undisclosed business in Dinuba for a report of an altercation. After investigation, police say they discovered that
Cervantes showed up at his wife's place of business and got into a verbal argument with her. Officers say he then grabbed his wife by the arm and also pulled her by the hair.
He reportedly fled the area and was later contacted in a traffic stop in the 1200 block of East Magnolia Way. There he was placed into custody, booked and later transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility.

The event featured animal projects from all four third grade classrooms at the school. The projects were part of a third grade curriculum.

Over the school year, the Dinuba Unified G.A.T.E. (which stands for Gifted and Talented Education) students have done various projects. From writing news articles to doing history projects, students have had a productive year.
For their final project, however, students may have had their funnest project, recreating a scale model of a taco truck and creating a menu to go along with it. Those taco trucks were on display last Friday at Kennedy Elementary School.
And as a treat, students received tacos from a real taco truck.
