The scope of work for the Terminal Expansion Project that is related but not included in this request for bid generally consists of:
• An expanded Security Screening Checkpoint.
• A new two gate/holdroom concourse served by passenger boarding bridges, additional conces-
sions and support spaces.
• A new FIS international arrivals facility.
• Landside modifications.
• Project location: 5175 East Clinton Way Fresno, CA
• Building area for entire project: 130,000 sf
• Estimated value of construction for entire project: $90,000,000
• Trades include: building and site concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, casework, millwork,
insulation, roof and wall panels, TPO roofing, hollow metal doors, overhead doors, metal stud framing, drywall, specialty ceilings, flooring, paint, specialties, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinklers, electrical, site work, and baggage handling system.

Notice is hereby given that Kings Canyon Unified School District (hereinafter referred to as “Owner”) will receive sealed bids prior to the date and time stated for the Bid Opening for the award of the Contract to construct:

The scope of work shall also include assisting the Owner and Architect in preparing plans, drawings and specifications to be reviewed by DSA.
The lowest bid shall be determined on the amount of the base bid.
This bid is subject to prequalification specific to this Contract; the Owner’s annual prequalification is sufficient. If a bidder or subcontractor is not prequalified to bid on this Contract, Owner will not accept the bid. Any contractor listed for Work requiring A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must have current pre-qualified status for this Contract. Bidders and subcontractors subject to prequalification, must submit the prequalification application for this Contract to the Owner no later than April 1, 2022 prior to 5:00 p.m. Bidders and subcontractors may obtain the project specific prequalification application from the District’s website.
Public works projects shall be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. For all projects over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to submit a bid or to be listed in a bid proposal subject to the requirements of Public Contract Code section 4104 unless currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 to perform public work as defined by Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 (§§ 1720 et seq.) of the Labor Code. For all projects over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to enter into, or engage in the performance of, any contract of public work (as defined by Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 (§§ 1720 et seq.) of the Labor Code) unless currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 to perform public work.
Contract Time shall follow bid schedule outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.
Bids must be sealed and filed at the Educational Support Center at 1801 10th St, Reedley, CA 93654 by April 19, 2022 prior to 2:00 p.m. on the clock designated by the Owner or its representative as the bid clock, after which time bids will be opened. No bid will be accepted by Owner after this time. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the bid will not be accepted.
A mandatory pre-bid conference call will be held on March 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Reedley High School, located at 740 W. North Avenue, Reedley CA, 93654. Bidders not attending the pre-bid conference will be disqualified.
Bids must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, cashier’s check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid and made payable to the Owner.
Pursuant to the Contract Documents, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, as set forth in the Contract Documents.
The successful bidder will be allowed to substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, and as described in the Agreement Between Owner and Contractor and General Conditions.
The Owner will not consider or accept any bids from contractors who are not licensed to do business in the State of California, in accordance with the California Public Contract Code, providing for the licensing of contractors. In accordance with Section 3300 of said Code, the bidder shall have a Class “B” license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Contract completion and all applicable warranty periods.
