(23-10). The Bears – fresh off a 75-72 upset of top-seeded St. Mary's of Albany on Feb. 28 — battled back to tie the game late in regulation to tie the score at 66-all with just 13.2 seconds left. What followed was a crazy chain of events , starting when Rodriguez con- nected on a perfect in-bounds baseball pass to Williams on a break down court. Williams scored and was fouled with just 6.8 seconds left in regu- lation.
But after a timeout, Mis- sion sprinted downcourt and two quick passes found Matt Cohn for a tying layup 1.7 sec- onds left.
Immanuel twice trailed by three points in the first extra session, but senior Daglish tied the game at 74-apiece on a three-pointer from the right wing with 1:17 remaining. A Rodriguez free throw with 21 seconds left tied it at 76, and a desperate IHS three-point at- tempt missed to force a sec- ond overtime.
The Eagles appeared to be in trouble, trailing by four with under three minutes left. But a Williams layup was fol- lowed by a right-wing three from Rodriguez, tying the score. Rodriguez then scored for an 83-81 lead and another Williams bucket made it 85-81. Two free throws by Rodriguez made it 88-84 with just 13 sec- onds left, seemingly icing vic- tory for Immanuel.
But Mission threw one more big scare at the hosts. On a mad scramble in the cor- ner, Ben Knight picked up the loose balls and fired up a long three-pointer as he was fouled by Rodriguez. The shot just grazed off the rim with less than a second remaining.
Knight — who led all scor- ers with 45 points — made the first two free throws before intentionally missing the last attempt in an effort to get a desperate tip. But Williams secured the rebound, capping the wild game.

provided the one-two scoring punch with 24 and 22 points, respectively, while Williams dominated the boards with 19 rebounds including nine on the offensive end. Senior Josiah Barker made a huge defensive block in the clos- ing minutes, and also sank two free throws in the closing seconds to seal the victory.
The Eagles couldn't shake the visitors, seeing a nine- point lead late in the third quarter wiped out by the four- minute mark of the fourth. A layup by leading scorer Geronimo Rubio -De La Rosa – who scored 21 points but was held five below his average – tied the score be- fore Rodgers scored and was fouled. His three-point play made it 64-61, but he limped off the court moments later after having his ankle rolled.
Despite three missed free throws from Williams in the closing minutes, Immanuel was able to end the Knights' 27-4 season.
Immanuel opened the regional playoffs on Feb. 26 with a 67-57 home victory
