Rubbish fire north of Reedley

Firefighters from the Reedley Fire Department, Orange Cove Fire Department and Cal- Fire responded to a rubbish fire at the intersection of Alta and Adams avenues on the afternoon of March 12. The fire reportedly began in pile of refuse behind the County Corner Market and Deli shortly after 4 p.m. When first responders arrived they found the heap fully engulfed and the storeowner attempting to put it out with a garden hose. The fire was extinguished after about 30 minutes.
