• Domestic violence was reported in the 1300 block of North Crawford Avenue at 12:49 p.m.
• An assault was reported in the 200 block of Perry Avenue at 2:07 p.m.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of North Villa Avenue at 7:02 p.m.
• Shots fired were reported in the area of South O Street and Kamm Avenue at 7:38 p.m.
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in the 1900 block of Violet Lane at 10:08 p.m.
Sunday, December 9
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in the 2000 block of Franzen Way at 12:20 a.m.
• Shots fired were reported in the area of California Avenue and Park Way at 3:35 a.m.
• Vandalism to a vehicle was reported at AMPM at 5:20 a.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 1300 block of East Park Way at 9:10 a.m. The subject was reportedly wearing a brown jacket and was possibly under the influence.
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in the 600 block of East Davis Drive at 4:18 p.m.
• A license plate was stolen in the 100 block of South O Street. It was reported at 7:55 p.m.
• A theft report was made in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 8:29 p.m. The suspect was reported as a Hispanic male wearing a gray sweater by IHOP. He allegedly took sweaters and a vest from Walmart.
Delbert Lewis Fraser
Delbert Lewis Fraser, a resident of Dinuba, died November 25, 2018. He was 91.
He was a PG&E supervisor.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 15 at 10 a.m. at Smith Mountain Cemetery.

Judith A. Lack
Judith A. Lack, a resident of Dinuba, died November 24, 2018. She was 72.
She was a dietary supervisor.
Surviving family members include a sister.

Gilbert Martinez Sr.
Gilbert Martinez Sr., a resident of Dinuba, died December 4, 2018. He was 67.
He was an owner operator.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 2 pm. – 5:30 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Dinuba.
Surviving family members
include a son, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and five grandchildren.

Joseph Raul Martinez
Joseph Raul Martinez, a resident of Dinuba, died December 7, 2018. He was 66.
He was a terminal manager.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Dinuba.
Surviving family members include four sons, a daughter, a brother, two sisters and many grandchildren.

Erlinda Tamayo
Erlinda Tamayo, a resident of Dinuba, died November 29, 2018. She was 70.
She was a production line worker.

Monday, December 3
• A trespasser was reported in the 600 block of West North Way at 7:41 a.m. The trespasser was reported as ann unkown subject wearing a black Raiders sweater and blue jeans in a backyard.
• Transients were reportedly camping on city property in the 200 block of West Sierra Way. It was reported at 10:54 a.m.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of East Hollow Way at 12:29 p.m.
• Vandalism to a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of South K Street 12:37 p.m.
• A transient was reportedly urinating in the alley way in the 100 block of South L Street at 1:54 p.m.
• A fire was reported in the area of East El Monte Way and Road 92 at 7:35 p.m. Sparks were reportedly seen coming from a transformer on the north side of the street.
• A license plate was stolen in the 100 block of South O Street. It was reported at 7:55 p.m.
• A neighbor's dog reportedly jumped over into a yard and began killing cats in the 1500 block of Olive Way at 7:57 p.m.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of North Eaton Avenue. It was reported at 10:23 p.m.
Tuesday, December 4
• A pack of six small dogs was reported in the 400 block of East Tulare Street at 8:30 a.m.
• A homeless person was reportedly sleeping in the lobby in the 600 block of West El Monte Way and was refusing to leave. It was reported at 9:25 a.m.
• A subject reportedly tried grabbing a purse from a woman and then ran away in the 2100 block of Cameron Way at 5:44 p.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported near the intersection of Crawford Avenue and Avenue 400 at 5:17 p.m. The accident involved a single vehicle that reportedly went into a ditch.
• A theft report was made in the 900 block of West El Monte Way at 8:57 p.m. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black sweater, light colored jeans and a black beanie with a gray stripe.
• Two subjects were reportedly seen attempting to break into a commercial building in the 200 block of South Alta Avenue at 9:05 p.m. The subjects were described as having flashlights and wearing all black.
Wednesday, December 5
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 500 block of North Crawford Avenue at 3:27 a.m. A dark-colored vehicle reportedly drove by slowly with no lights on.
• A theft report was made in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 10:43 a.m. The subject reportedly left the automotive department at Walmart with items not paid for.
• Vandalism, a broken window, was reported in the 400 block of North L Street at 12:41 p.m.
• Someone reportedly placed a dead cat in a bucket near a driveway in the 400 block of Whitney Avenue. It was reported at 12:43 p.m.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the area of South Alta Avenue and North K Street at 1:35 p.m. The accident involved a white Nissan Altima and gray Honda van.
Thursday, December 6
• A beer-run was reported in the 300 block of South Alta Avenue at 1:53 a.m. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black sweater and left in a blue Chevy Tahoe.
• A noise complaint for loud music and loud subjects was reported in the 1300 block of North Crawford Avenue at 3:06 a.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the area of Ashley and Lilac avenues at 3:18 a.m. The subject was reportedly wearing a black hoodie, had a back pack and was using a flashlight.
• An injury traffic collision, vehicle versus pedestrian, was reported in the 800 block of Eaton Avenue at 8:28 a.m. A child was reportedly hit by a vehicle near Lincoln Elementary School.
• Vandalism to a building was reported in the 200 block of South Alta Avenue at 4:34 p.m. Wires were reportedly cut to a commercial building.
• A subject reportedly yelled at a customer at Gas N Save and spit on her car. It was reported at 9:58 p.m.
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in 1600 block of East Akers Way at 10:01 p.m.
• A noise complaint for subjects having loud music in a garage was reported in the 400 block of North J Street at 11:58 p.m.
Friday, December 7
• Someone reported they had been shot in the chest in the 200 block of North K Street. It was reported at 8:42 a.m.
• A jacket and transmitter was reported stolen in the 800 block Noth Alta Avenue at 12:39 p.m.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the 200 block of East Tulare Street at 5:20 p.m. The accident involved a Chevy Silverado and a Honda Civic.
• A theft report was made in the 2200 block of East El Monte Way at 6:58 p.m. The suspect was reportedly seen leaving in a silver Chevy Malibu.
• A bike was reported stolen in the 1100 block of East Magnolia

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.

Gilbert, 67, passed away after a brave  ght with cancer. He was preceded in death by Josie, his beloved wife of 39 years; parents Tano and Chonita Martinez, Bakers eld; and, in-laws Leonard and Martina Martinez, Dinuba. He was a big man with a big personality, he pursued his passions, called his own shots. He made family and friends laugh, loved entertaining kids.
He was an independent businessman per passions developed growing up in the family grocery store, Tano’s Market, on E. 10th St. He attended OLG, BHS ’70 and BC. He met Josie at CSUB where they were active in the Chicano student movement, helping found MEChA. They married in 1976 and moved to Dinuba. He opened Tierra Records Shop, from where he sold oldies, did photography, organized festivals and car shows. Promoting dances and concerts, he worked with such names as Freddy Fender, Jose Feliciano, Carlos Santana.
He worked for Tulare Co. Welfare Dept. and sold insurance. The last 20 years, he owned and operator IBF Traf c School (Escuela de tra co), dubbing himself “The Ticket Whisperer.” A community activist, he and Josie established the Dinuba Cinco De Mayo Festivals. As a DHS parent leader, he was a Band Booster and formed Chicano Connection to involved youth in community service.
He is survived by brother Ramon and sister Dolores Acosta, San Jose; brother Tomas and sister Cathy Rodriguez, Bakers eld; daughter Crystal (Estevan) Diaz, grandchildren Alexis and Estevan Jr; son Gilbert Jr. (Leanne), grandchildren Jennie Frausto, Neo and Emmitt, He leaves 42 nieces, nephews; great nieces, nephews; great, great nieces.
When told his time was short, he called on family and friends to visit him, told jokes, made sure everyone left with a smile. He lived his last days as he did his life -- on his own terms.
