SANGER HERALD 8A THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2018
By Dick Sheppard you how to get there.
Sanger Herald
Duchess is just a puppy.
Animal Control Volunteer Kim Reed thought she would like to have flowers in her star shot. Duchess wasn't too sure about that but gave us her best smile anyway.
Kim thinks Duchess is about 4-5 months old, maybe a mix of heeler and border collie.
She loves to play, take naps and be hugged.
Tank, Lucy, Rocky, JoJo, Lily, Buster and Mary and Jane are still waiting and hoping for a forever home.
You can call Sanger animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 to make an appointment to meet all the dogs living at the shelter. Mario will tell
You can also stop by the Tractor Supply Co. in Clovis this Saturday to see all the dogs available for adoption.
The special adoption event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Tractor Supply Co. is on Herndon Avenue just west of Fowler Avenue.
Adoption only requires spaying/neutering and bringing the rabies shot up to date. The only charge is to the veterinarian, Gregory Saiki DVM.
Mario and Kim want to thank everyone who has donated to the shelter - and they are hoping some- one will donate a couple of large tarps that can be stretched over an outside play enclosure to provide shade when summer comes.

Weather for Apache Country
We're going to have beau- tiful springlike weather for the next 7-8 days and then it's likely going to start getting pretty warm. Except for a few gusty hay fever produc- ing breezes there won't be anything to complain about until around May 27 when the temperature will climb into the 90s, then the mid and high90sandthen... itwill feel like a preview of sum- mer.
