TCSO announces 3 arrests
in murder of Cutler man
Five people were injured, one with moderate injuries, when a car struck the rear left side of a parked vehicle (pictured in right photo after it was moved) and careened across Manning Avenue be- fore coming to rest in front of the fence at St. La Salle Catholic School on Feb. 5. There were three young children in the vehicle, and all escaped ma- jor injury in the crash reported at about 12:45 p.m. The male drive sustained cuts to the head while a woman passenger in the front seat suffered a lower right leg injury. One of the children was in an unrestrained car seat and flipped over in the vehicle, but was unhurt. The driver faces at least a citation for child endangerment.

MVT Staff Report
The Tulare County Sher- iff ’s Office announced last week that three arrests were made in connection of the murder of a Cutler man last summer.
On Feb. 4, deputies with the TCSO Homicide Unit ar- rested 27-year-old Edward Moran, 19-year-old Cristian Bravo as well as a 17-year-old male juvenile for the murder of Gilberto Serna.
Deputies say Serna was shot and killed in the front yard of his Cutler home on June 5. Bravo and the juve-
nile male were arrested dur- ing the gang sweep “Opera- tion Stray Bullet” last month on charges unrelated to the murder. Detectives were able to determine, based on evidence obtained during the operation, that all three sus- pects were responsible for Serna’s murder.
The case remains an active investigation and a motive for the shooting and/or evidence leading to the arrests was not released.
Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to con- tact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 733-6218.
