By Rick Curiel
Mid Valley Times
June 4 would have been gradu- ation day for seniors at Sanger High School. Instead, due to the ongoing pandemic, students in Sanger will be celebrating like many others this year — via a vir- tual prerecorded graduation cer- emony.
But one senior at Sanger High School wanted to make sure her classmates had every opportunity to celebrate this momentous occa- sion.
“I thought wouldn’t it be cool if we could do something like this,” said Sanger High senior Kai Glo- ria. “I told my sister and she basi- cally started planning everything. Before we knew it, it was this big ole thing.”
Kai and her sister, Alexandra Marie Gonzalez, coordinated with Touch of Elegance, who provided the backdrop and stage for se- niors to take pictures with fam- ily and friends last Thursday and Friday, May 28-29. The photo shoot was staged in front of their home, near the intersection of Bethel and Church avenues.

Graduates who participated in the photo shoot were given a free goody bag, free water and a chance to enter a raffle for Star- bucks gift cards or tumblers.
Said one volunteer there, “We’re just here trying to make

Dinuba police arrest Orosi man after pursuit
MVT Staff Report
Dinuba police arrest- ed an 18-year-old Orosi man following a pursuit
in the early morning hours of May 27.
At about 12:40 a.m., the department was ad- vised of a report of a sto-
len vehicle that had just occurred in Orosi, and provided with a descrip- tion of the vehicle and plate number.
At approximately 1:22 a.m., an officer with Di- nuba PD observed the ve- hicle traveling on Kamm Avenue, approaching the city limits. The officer got behind the vehicle, confirming it was in fact the stolen vehicle.
Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver failed to yield and a brief pursuit took place. The vehicle left the city limits back toward Orosi, and came to an end when the stolen ve- hicle became disabled and
