VANDALISM Continued from page A1
According to officers, the pastor of the church told deputies someone had smeared feces on the door and egged the building. The suspect also reportedly threw or- anges on the fence.
In addition, various trash had been placed inside the church's mail- box.
Video surveil- lance and a history of incidents led dep- uties to a nearby home. During the inves- tigation, deputies learned the suspect, 48-year-old
Danny Lee Terpin, had a history of intimidat- ing church members by yelling obscenities and making obscene gestures with his middle finger.
Deputies found and in- terviewed Terpin. He was arrested and faces felony hate crime vandalism charges.
