Lights & Sirens March 14-March 20 New plaque at Museum A new granite plaque was installed in front of the Reedley Museum on March 6, recognizing the site as the location of Reedley’s first City Hall. An initial dedication took place March 3, 2017, but adjustments had to be made to prepare the plaque for mounting in front of the museum. John Powell, a board member with the Reedley Historical Society, said the plaque originally was going to be placed onto the wall with screws, but concerns about the granite break- ing changed the plan to mount the plaque inside a frame and then place it on the wall. Powell said the public is invited to vote for members of the Historical Society board. Members up for election are Cherie Lawrence- Witter, Christy Pullman, Nancy Peti- nak and Karen Olson. Community members can pick up ballots at the Reedley Museum, 1752 10th St., on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Deadline to return ballots to the museum is Saturday, April 6.
