In Loving Memory of
George
As we approach 1 year since this tragedy broke our hearts, I still struggle with believing what’s happened, and that any of this is true. There is not a minute in the day where I am not thinking of you! I look forward to to being reunited with you again someday. You will always be our baby, we love and miss you so much!
Love Mom, Gabby, Sophie, Damian and all your nephews and nieces
MVT Staff Report
A 45-year-old Orosi man was struck and killed by a passing vehicle while walking along East El Monte Way (Av- enue 416) in Orosi the evening of May 17.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 8:40 p.m. just west of Road 125. A CHP news report said the unidenti- fied man was walking within the num- ber two (slow) lane of westbound El Monte Way. A 2000 Chevrolet driven
by 25-year-old Joshua Barragan of Orosi was driving west and veered to try to avoid the pedestrian but struck the man with the right front side of his vehicle, causing fatal injuries.
Weather and visibility conditions were dark, clear and calm at the time of the accident, according to the high- way patrol.
The identity of the victim hadn't been released as of May 18. The CHP said it was not determined if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the ac- cident.
