been hot spots in some Mid Valley Times cov- erage regions. In Fresno County, once-lofty rates in the Lac Jac region west of Reedley and in southeast Sanger booth dipped below 30-day re- quirements to be listed as high risk per 10,000 residents. And there were no increases in any region that remained above the number, and most case instances were decreased levels.
For instance, in Reed- ley those levels dropped from 55 to 40 per 10,000 population in southwest Reedley, from 51 to 39 in southeast Reedley and from57to38intheru- ral area east of the city towars Wahtoke and Na- velencia.
There was a similar pattern of decline in Sanger, where the num- bers dropped from 56 to
40 in the northwest part ofthecity,39to34in southwest Sanger, 71 to 60 in the northeast and 36 to 28 per 10K north of Sanger heading toward Clovis and the foothills.
Parlier also saw one of the two portions of the city — south of town — dip below the 30-day requirement level of 25 cases per 10,000. In ad- dition, the northeastern portion of Orange Cove also dropped below that benchmark.
Numbers of tradi- tional COVID-19 cases including those with the Delta variant were growing at a slower pace. Fresno County hospitalizations for the week dropped from 205 to 186, and intensive care stays were down by eight. In Tulare County, those numbers stayed exactly the same as the Nov. 30 update, increas- ing or decreasing by no more than two patients.
As far as vaccinations went, Fresno County's numbers increased to 65.1 percent of residents 5 years or older having gotten at least one dose. In Tulare County, the number of fully vacci- nated residents reached nearly 47 percent by the start of this week.
