Michael Garcia
“Preacher Man”
We are sad to announce that on Friday, 25th of June, 2021 at age 51, Michael Garcia aka “Preacher Man” has passed away. He was hospitalized in February of this year at Kaweah in Visalia, where he had been battling Valley Fever since. Sadly the medical
team couldn’t provide a better plan.
Mike was a great example of a man of God. He loved and accepted everyone as they were unconditionally. He was a peacemaker. He was actively reaching out to the lost, ministering the word of God hoping to give them hope and find their purpose to live. Michael worked for the Lord and was a true servant of Christ since the late 90’s.
He fought a good fight until the very end with a happy heart. As the days, months passed we watched him fade away. God only knew how persistent I was to get him the best care I could. I was his number one advocate, acted as his nurse, social worker when I couldn’t depend on anyone else, only God. Through all the mess, God kept us together tight, only now to realize he was preparing me for our separation here on earth.
We will never be ready to say goodbye to the ones we love, but I have that inner peace knowing my husband is with Jesus. He proved not only that Faith he had in Christ, but that love for his family. He stood with great expectations to get better. Now we will carry on with that same love and faith he lived and left us. Sadly, he was taken from us too soon. Leaving his living mother, sister, wife, two daughters, two sons, and granddaughter behind. He truly will be missed.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Dopkins Chapel in Reedley. A Celebration of Michael’s Life
