PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD PRELIMINARY ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT REPORT
The Sanger Unified School District (SUSD) has prepared a Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) Report in accordance with Education Code section 17213.1, subdivision (a)(4)(B). The SUSD has submitted the PEA Report to the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for review and has chosen to make the PEA Report available for public review and comment pursuant to Education Code section 17213.1, subdivision (a)(4)(B).
Project Designation:
Proposed School
North McCall Avenue between East Shaw Avenue and East Ashlan Avenue in Fresno, Fresno County, California
Project Location:
The project site consists of one agricultural parcel totaling 50 acres of land located on the west side of North McCall Avenue. The proposed school is in the planning stages and no approved plans are available at this time. The site is owned by SUSD.
Description of Assessment:
The PEA investigation was conducted at the site to determine if any hazardous materials were released to the site during past activities. The PEA Report summarizes the results of the environmental investigation, indicating that no further assessment is necessary at the project site and engineering controls are not warranted for future construction.
The PEA and Supporting Documents are available for review at the following locations:
