JACO PEYPER WAS IN
the middle for the Maori All Blacks game last Saturday. The trained lawyer cut his teeth at Investec Super Rugby level in 2008 and has refereed at the Junior World Championships
on two occasions, including the JWC 2011 Final. He then made his Test debut in 2011 and the following year he was promoted to the IRB’s elite panel – and he hasn’t looked back since.
PAU NATIVE JEROME
Garces rst took up refereeing back in 1993 and graduated from what was then the Junior World Championship, at which
he rst appeared in 2009.
A seasoned French Top 14 referee who has also taken control of many European Cup matches, Garces was introduced to top international rugby as an assistant referee in 2010-2011. After appearing as an AR at RWC 2011,
he was one of the top referees at RWC 2015.

from Toulouse, playing at
No 8 for Castres Olympique and SC Graulhet before starting refereeing in 1994. He handled his rst match
in the French top division in 2004 and worked as a police investigator before becoming a full-time referee in 2007. He made his international refereeing debut with a RWC 2007 quali er between Morocco and Namibia in Casablanca in 2006 and joined the World Rugby High Performance Panel in 2009.

A FORMER TEST REFEREE
turned specialist television match of cial (TMO), George Ayoub is kept busy earning his keep as a regular TMO in Investec Super Rugby, where he’s one of three Australian TMOs in their High Performance Unit structure. Based in NSW, Ayoub is a surf lifesaver during his spare time in summer and is a former teacher.
