Making learning fun
The Trinity curriculum has been structured to inspire and engage children
as they learn. We believe that every child should receive all the help they need to reach their full poten al and as teachers, we believe it is our mission to inspire and guide them on their personal learning path.
By teaching the prerequisites of maths, English, science, history, geography and religious educa on in the context of themed topics we make learning fun and relevant for every child. And by gradually moving the bar for each child we encourage and challenge them to progress their learning to new heights. We also extend the na onal curriculum by providing children with e ec ve
Personal, Social, Health and Economical (PSHE) skills.
In addi on to the academic curriculum taught, we also encourage our children to develop emo onal intelligence through a programme called ‘Protec ve Behaviours’ which reminds children that they have a right to feel safe and they are free to speak to anyone about anything at any me. Through this programme we encourage children to create and maintain a strong and accessible support network.
If you would like to know more about our curriculum, please visit our website at www. trinityprimary.org.uk/index.php/ about-us/school-informa on/ school-curriculum.
Going the extra mile
with school clubs
As the school day ends at 3pm many Trinity children stay later to par cipate in our organised clubs. We o er an extensive range of clubs before and a er school, many of which are sporty. Others are more crea ve and include performing arts, kni ng and ICT. In every case the children who a end our clubs enjoy addi onal opportuni es to further their learning experiences and develop new skills
in our familiar and safe environment.
Embracing the Church
As a Church of England School we ac vely embrace the church to provide children with enriching experiences of collec ve
worship – o en led by our local curate or vicar. Throughout the school year we connect with St. Peters Church in Aldwincle to enjoy
a range of assemblies and fes vals and to celebrate signi cant events in the liturgical calendar such as Christmas or Easter. Our Church and Community Coordinators from the Pupil Leadership Team help to plan these services in order to keep them refreshing, lively and informa ve for the children.
Encouraging children
to lead
With Responsibility being one
of our seven school values we encourage our children to develop strong
leadership skills through membership of
our school council or Pupil Leadership
Team as we call it. We have Learning Ambassadors, Behaviour Ambassadors, Media Correspondents, Church and Community Coordinators and a Sports Crew who collec vely support Trinity’s senior management to con nuously improve school life for all children.
