Chairman’s Report – Cllr Karen Draycott
As we make our way towards the General Election on 12th December, can I encourage you all to make sure you are registered to vote. Democracy may not be perfect, but it is the only way at present in which we ALL can have a say about the future direction of our country.
I would ask you all to exercise your Civic Right to vote.
Our next event is ‘Thrapston Christmas Festival’ on Saturday 30th November in the High Street and at the Plaza.
The event starts at 2pm in
the Plaza with a Christmas Market finishing at 6pm. The High Street entertainment commences at 3.30pm culminating with the lights switch on at 5.30pm. The event finishes at 6pm. There will be many and varied stalls, rides, activities and a full programme on the stage.
Our final Town event for 2019 will be ‘Robin Hood’
As I write this article on Remembrance weekend, it is a constant reminder that millions
of people gave their lives so
that we would be free. We were delighted with the support by
our community at the 11am service and those of you who lined the streets to watch the parade later.
What an amazing firework display we had again this year. With new additions it was even better than last year. We raised £1,336 for Mind the Mayoral charity for 2019/20.

pantomime, on Saturday 7th December at the Plaza. We have two performances, 2pm and 7pm. It will be great fun for children of all ages, a real family event!
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Our community tapestry is created by us all, as we are the threads.
