Saying a fond farewell to Father Brian Leatherland
On September 8th, the Parishes of St Paul the Apostle, Thrapston and St Thomas
More Raunds said farewell to Father Brian Leatherland upon his retirement. At the party after his farewell Mass many parishioners and friends gathered in St James’ Church Hall for a retirement buffet supper. Not only parishioners from Thrapston & Raunds attended, but also from The Most Holy Name of Jesus, Oundle, where Father Brian was also Parish Priest. the Rev. Nolan Robson and the local Baptist Minister, the Rev. Mat Hussain also attended to say their farewells in true ecumenical style. Speaking at the event Father Brian thanked everybody for making his time as Parish Priest so enjoyable, and in reply the Parishes wished him well for the future with a gift.
