Squadron Sergeant Major, WO2 Scott Robinson and the new SQMS, Staff Sergeant Stevie Brown. The pace had been set early, B Squadron had done the majority of tasks at the run and has not stopped since.
Since moving to Leuchars members of B Squadron have deployed to Jordan, Kenya, Belize, Spain, Germany, Cornwall and Kent! They have conducted AT in Cyprus, Scotland and Wales; competed in the Hodson’s Horse competition; been stalking, Nordic and Alpine skiing and even found time to plan, pre- pare and execute a one week CT1 exercise. All this has been completed with the traditional B Squadron panache and good humour.
Next year will no doubt continue to be just as busy. B Squadron will again be at the forefront of change as it becomes the rst SCOTS DG Light Cavalry Squadron to be battle-grouped. The Squadron will join its friends in 3 SCOTS (1st Bn Black Watch in old speak) as their Light Cavalry Squadron. 3 SCOTS are a Light Mobility Infantry Battalion equipped with Foxhound vehicles and we will provide them with our unique blend of manoeuvre, information gathering and repower.
Con dence and morale are high as the squadron approaches 2016 and there is no doubt it continues to uphold all the nest traditions of what has always been the best (if not the best looking) squadron.
