C Sqn vehicle maintenance day
mounted live re tactical training. This saw progres- sion from individual ring all the way up to section level attack. The week was bitterly cold but, merci- fully dry and the squadron performed to a high stand- ard. In part, high morale was maintained due to the tireless efforts of the SQMS, Staff Sergeant Brown and his team, providing an unrelenting stream of ne culi- nary cuisine. In the second week, the squadron con- ducted mounted ranges on Jackal, Coyote and Panther armoured vehicles, culminating in an Annual Crew Test (ACT). Sergeant Chalmers, 1st Troop Sergeant, and his crew succeeded in gaining the highest score on the ACT, whilst his gunner, Trooper Cook, won the accolade of being the best gunner in the squadron.

Maj Craig delivers Sqn Orders on the Regiment’s Battle Camp
The last major training event prior to rebasing took place after Easter leave. The Regiment deployed en- masse down to Sennelager Training Area to undertake a Regimental battle camp. This comprised of a series of three 3-day rotations where each squadron went through a Military Annual Training Tests (MATTs) sweep-up period, squadron disposal and cohesion activities and a Regimental test exercise. C Squadron spent the rst three days undertaking MATTs and then, went straight into a period of squadron disposal. Two days of this was given over to squadron cohesion events organised by the troop leaders. This included a furious (and rather painful) paintballing battle, a squadron night out in Paderborn, a battle eld study
