David Marriott was born locally and attended
Laxton School before graduating with a
degree in Urban Estate Surveying. He was
elected a member of Th e Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors in 1992. He is the
principal practicing Surveyor at Howard David
Associates, Chartered Surveyors whose offi ces
are based in the Court House on Mill
Road. He and his wife live in Barnwell.
When was Howard David Associates
established? In 2002.
What made you choose Oundle?
I think if you can maintain a good

offi ce? Myself and my semi-retired partner,

Most challenging part of the job?

trying to carry out their work there is
an ever increasing number of people
trying to impact and restrict the way
you do what you’ve been perfectly
qualifi ed to do for decades.
Any funny moments? Pretty much
daily, if you don’t enjoy it then you should give
it up.
What makes Howard David Associates
diff erent? It’s important in an area such as
Oundle to give a personal service, listen to
your clients and tailor your service to their
requirements and circumstances. We also try
to avoid following the latest trends – I know
