It also featured some of the most aesthetically pleasing views that the group would see all week, with beautiful clear lakes, an isolated goat farm, and a hotel.

August leave started with an Adventurous Training expedition for seven OCdts from Gaza and Ypres companies to the little European gem of Slovenia. Tucked away, filling the space between Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, Slovenia has a lot to offer a whitewater kayaking expedition. Its key offering is water; in August in Europe there is not much water left in the rivers so it is difficult to find somewhere that can still be kayaked unless it rains.
