UPDATES FROM THE TOWN COUNCIL
It’s been all change
at the Town Council
this year, firstly with
May’s new Council
and the election of
our new Mayor Cllr
Val Cater, and more
recently the co-
option of two new
Councillors Cllr
Kathy Cairns and
Cllr Jerry Hawkins.
We would like to
welcome Kathy and Jerry to the Town Council and thank them for stepping up to represent Thrapston.
You may have seen Matt the Dog Warden out and about in Thrapston. The Town Council originally commissioned patrols on a trial basis via North Northamptonshire Council. Public feedback has been very positive, and the patrols will continue. Dog waste bags are available free of charge from the Town Council office, Thrapston Farm
& Garden and Healthy Pet Supplies, with charity donations going to Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary.
Each year Thrapston Town Council
awards financial grants to worthy local causes. In order to be eligible a group must be constituted, and the project must solely benefit residents
of Thrapston, or have the ability for Council funds to
be ringfenced for Thrapston use. If you
think your group could be eligible to apply please contact office@thrapstontowncouncil. gov.uk
