Worse part of the job? Customers regularly quoting ‘Four Candles’ as per The Two Ronnie’s (BBC) sketch! For those of you that don’t know – look it up on YouTube, it really is funny!
Your favourite item on sale at the moment?
Fill – ReFill eco cleaning products! Refillable hand soap, laundry liquid, fabric conditioner and washing up liquid. Either bring your own containers or buy the glass start up bottles! A great way to reduce your plastic usage but keep the product quality!
What did you do during lockdown? We’ve been open and trading the whole time – either over the phone or in person, whichever
the government advised! It has kept us all really busy and focused on serving the local
community, and keeping you guys entertained with DIY projects.
Hobnob or Jaffa cake? Jaffa cakes all the way – we’re always open for accepting gifts!
Any funny stories? Too many to tell, never a dull moment in the DIY world :-) But what does make us laugh are the mysterious descriptions customers give for everyday products that they can’t quite remember the name of!
Dine at home or meal out? Meal out!
And a tipple to go with it? Bubbles, beer or gin – depends who’s buying.
Best thing about Thrapston? The people and community spirit.
