FUNDRAISING Recycle to raise and pick to do something positive
Used dental products can now be dropped off in the TerracycleTM collection boxes found in the Thrapston and Oundle Co-ops and the Oundle Town Library. Funds raised through the collections are donated to local charities, with the Oundle & Thrapston Foodbanks being the current recipients.
The collections are being arranged through Oundle Waste Less, a project which aims to encourage more reuse, repair, refilling and recycling in the area. More collection points can be set up, for these or other causes, by contacting the OWL team.
‘Whilst it is better to avoid unnecessary single use plastics, keeping your teeth
clean is important for your dental health.
The TerracycleTM recycling scheme offers a destination for hard-to-recycle dental products and raises money for good causes’, said Camilla Sherwin, OWL Project Manager. ‘Please only recycle the items listed on the poster on the box - if other items are mixed in, we don’t receive any money for that collection. Anyone wanting to reduce single use plastic in their homes should visit their local zero waste shop, like
