cadets carried on undeterred to enjoy the rest of the day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach as a reward for their hard work and effort during the week.
Annual Camp was also the venue for the county to take part in the pilot of the new National Citizenship Service (NCS) Scheme. Thirty cadets from the area are taking part in the scheme, which is the Prime Minister’s personal initiative, which seeks to foster community action and personal and social development for young people. During the camp the cadets took part in three guided sessions, led by one of our senior adult
for adventure training expeditions and equipment. Fundraising events have included sponsored cycling, dinner nights and clay shooting competitions, all of which have raised funds to support our activities and cadets throughout the year.
