                                 The Staffordshire
regiment Museum
 By Jim Massey
Rather than write a summary, which would be surprisingly similar to last year’s article, we thought it would be better to let the camera illustrate our work in the past twelve months. Suffice to say the Staffordshire Regiment Museum has had a very active year and we played a full part in local community events, including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We also ran through
three weekend and several evening events. Sadly we are unable to show a single photo of any of the 75 days when a school has visited, it is simply too much effort to show photographs involving school children. We would like to record how grateful we are
to our 80 volunteers and 120 affiliated re- enactors for all their immense help; without them we would be a static site, charming no doubt but static all the same. They come from a variety of backgrounds including
the local community with a love of their
local Regiments, former Staffords, former servicemen, retired policemen and staff from Regimental Headquarters, who also chip in. We also benefit from the work of our Museum friends who are both imaginative and proactive. If we could single out one group, it would be our Education Volunteers who bring so much joy to the visiting school children.
