OC SHEFFIELD ROYAL
MARINE DETACHMENT
Our Detachment Commander, Colour Sergeant (SCC) John Daley, was awarded the British Empire Medal in the King’s New Years Honours list for services to young people and to the community in Sheffield. He ran an award-winning Prince's Trust Team Programme with the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue together with being an adult volunteer with Sheffield Sea Cadets. Many congratulations on the award.

We were delighted to welcome Vice Admiral Robert Cooling CB to our Awards Evening, the first since 2019. Also present were the Deputy Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull
and some of the Unit Ambassadors. For many cadets it was their first experience of an Awards Evening.
