Ex BLUE LONDON
Over the weekend of 12-14 Jan a Leadership Development and Planning event was held in London.
The event also provided an opportunity for our Officer Cadets to gain an insight into an Army Reserve unit based in Central London - the Honourable Artillery Company.
The day started at London Scottish House, Horseferry Road where we received a presentation from the
London Guards and a very interesting visit to their “galleries” where historic memorabilia from the unit was on display.
The Cadets were then split into groups and released into London to conduct research and analysis into a nominated leader, our group’s being the mighty Queen Boudica!
All Groups met back at the Honourable Artillery Company where a tour of the building and museum was conducted
as well as a insightful lecture into the opportunities for Reservists within the unit. We then returned to Cambridge for the night for a well-deserved curry.
The following day a debate was held between all the groups on the merits of each of the leaders with the eventual winner being Ernest Shackleton!
