                                serving in the Regiment at the time (Les and Craig). Maureen, his wife, has often said Rod loved his early years with SCOTS DG.
Rod, who died on 15 January 2021, is survived by his wife Maureen and two children, Carrie-Anne and Niall.
Ivor Scaife
Ivor Scaife was born on 16 June 1932. After complet- ing national service he continued as a serving soldier from 1956 to 1976. He served with the 3rd Dragoon Guards and Army Air Corps and was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
After retirement he loved to travel the world and shared his extensive knowledge of all things especially history and world-wide events with his family and friends. He later enjoyed his garden and the many fam- ily celebrations held there.
He died on 27 February 2021 and is sadly missed by his wife Margaret and his children.
Alan Shaw
EAGLE AND CARBINE 145
Alan Shaw was born on 1 July 1928. He joined the Royal Scots Greys from 1946 in Luneburg and left the Army in 1948. He kept in touch with what the Regiment was doing as a member of the North West of England and Wales Branch. He married Dorothy in 1950 and was a devoted husband and father. He was much admired
 by all who knew him and was known as a man of hon- our and integrity who always believed in never taking the easy way out. He died in Cheadle on 30 July 2021 after seventy-one years of marriage and is survived by Dorothy and their sons Stuart, Ian and Andy.
