At the end of June, we held our now, bi-annual Wine Tour, which saw 60 or so people enjoying a great evening of Starters in Spain, Main course in Australia and Dessert in Italy and all within three beautiful gardens in Denford!! We enjoyed delicious tapas courtesy of Sue and Peter Eden, steaks chez Pat and Ray Langford and gorgeous puds at Hilly and Peter Rolfe’s down by the river. Superb weather, food and wine, not to mention the Gin Bar, made it another memorable Denford evening!!
A GREAT BIG THANKYOU to our hosts and numerous helpers. Also we wish a speedy recovery to lovely Pat!
£827.19 was raised on the night and a further £250 was added by an incredibly generous donor. This wonderful amount is helping to pay for the installation of a new bell tower ladder.
Plans are already being made for the Harvest Festival and Supper on 30th September
and 1st October to which you are all invited! Contact Sandra, Pat or Heather for details.
Also in hand are the plans for a particularly special Service of Remembrance on November 11th. Look out for more details in future editions of this great Newsletter.

Communion
We give grateful thanks to Jan Colson and all who worked so hard to make our Festival weekend the success it was, right through to the evening service of Songs and Praise. The final result for all events should raise over £3000; a much needed contribution towards replacing our roof. Our next major event will be the Arts and Crafts Show on 12, 13 and 14 October.
If you would like to come to a church service but don’t want to come on your own or find getting there difficult, feel free to contact one of us and we’ll do our best to help.
More people are still needed to help us
with such things as flowers, cleaning, teas, reading and giving out books etc. Do please contact a churchwarden if you can help in any way. We’d love to hear from you!
