Graham Roberts (Peak District) has grown Celeriac “Neon”. Peter advised he had never grown celeriac before. There was good germination and Graham pricked them out into cells after a week and chose the ten best plants. They were doing really well and then one morning Graham found the slugs had culled four of them. So, the six are left growing well in their pot.
The aubergine “Patio Baby” had 100% very fast germination. Graham advised they are growing surprisingly well, being they ought to have been sown in February. He has a couple in the greenhouse, and four outside. Looking forward to seeing if they set fruit.
Graham’s Sweet Corn, Mirai Gold, he has found to be very prolific, in fact it’s catching up with his sowings of two months earlier ....very impressive. Graham has also found that the carrots “Topweight” had a good

the Glassica lettuce he has
been trailing. Keith found that if grown to full size you get a very big juicy lettuce, but a bit too big for him, however he then grew 5 plants in a container and picked outer leaves as required, this method is better for Keith and they are still growing well, but both methods appear to have yielded very good results. Unfortunately, Keith had very poor germination from the leek seed so cannot comment too much on this product, he put it down to the compost he was using at the time, however.

attack and is now recovering; her outdoor plant has been producing plenty of fruit. The Modesto French Beans have provided Libby with a big crop but has reported a strange look with a high number of twisted “double” beans with two tails (see photo which compares them to a normal straight bean). If anyone has an insight as to why some might be like this, please get in touch.
The DT Brown Seed trialists, as you know, had a slightly later start, but it’s very encouraging to see our members progress to date.
