National Memorial Arboretum Alrewas – Staffordshire
The New National Centre of Remembrance was opened to the public on Friday
21st October 2016 following a complete rebuild of the main buildings together with extensive landscaping to the area between the Chapel and the Centre.
The new entrance is more prominent than
before and offers a much better introduction to the rest of the building.
From the main entrance the visitor is guided to the new and much enlarged reception area from which follows the extensive catering facility and shop.
Once outside, the visit is enhanced by an
extensive patio between the main building and the Chapel. A new set of steps and
a ramp down toward the main arboretum and memorials enables good access for all users.
