1. TITLE
NATIONAL SOCIETY OF ALLOTMENT AND LEISURE GARDENERS LIMITED
RULES
1.1 The title of the organisation shall be NATIONAL SOCIETY OF ALLOTMENT AND LEISURE GARDENERS LIMITED as registered. The working title is The National Allotment Society.
2. REGISTRATION
2.1 The Society is registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act
2014. It was first registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act in 1930.
3. REGISTERED OFFICE
3.1 The Registered Office of The Society shall be located at O'Dell House, Hunters Road, Corby, Northants, NN17 5JE. Within fourteen days of any change in the situation of the Registered Office, notice shall be sent to the Registrar.

means the 2014 Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act unless otherwise stated in the context.
means those individual persons who belong to the Members joining under Rule 7.1.2
means a group of persons, members of an unincorporated or incorporated society or association, covering one or more allotment sites.
means a person eligible for appointment as a company Auditor under Part 42 of the Companies Act 2006.
Means the number of days’ notice needed to call a meeting excluding the day of the meeting, the day the notice is sent and the two working days required for deemed receipt of the notice calling the meeting.
means group of associations and federations across a specified local government authority area.
means a group of associations linked across a specified local government administrative area.
means a committee elected from the membership having effective oversight of the governance of The Society.
includes tenements and hereditaments.
means the members of the Management Committee acting as the directing body of the Society, nominated and elected as set out in the Sections B and C of the Standards and Procedures.
