The Annual Officers Dinner took place at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London on Thursday 9th November 2023.
Once again it was a wonderful evening with one hundred and five sitting down to dinner, the standard of food and drink provided by the Club gets better every year and the staff at the Club always go to great lengths to provide an excellent service.
This year we were delighted to welcome His Excellency Mr Manar Abbas the Jordanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom to the Dinner, it was wonderful to greet him and update him on what the Regiment and Association have been up to.
In addition, we were also honoured to welcome Mr Grant-Renwick and Mr Bignold to Dinner representing the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers with whom the Regiment are developing a meaningful and reciprocal affiliation.
Testimony to how successful the evening went was the fact that long after the bar had closed there were still many gathered around chatting and catching up, it was such a shame that the evening had to come to end.
We thank Nick Chamberlain once again for his expert advice on the menu and the wines, the staff at the Club for hosting us so well and for everyone who made the effort to attend, we look forward to seeing many more at the next dinner scheduled for 7th November 2024.
