It has been another successful year for the Gymnasium and what the gymnasium supports. This year has seen the farewell of SSgt (SSI) Pennington and the arrival of SSgt (SSI) Podmore. The Physical Training Instructors have been busy with supporting external events such as Bismarck Challenge 23, Army Sport North Cross Country events and internal events such as Balaklava day conducted on 25 Oct 2023 that consisted of a 4 x 4km Relay race on area C8 and other cadres such as RAC junior command course and Light Cav crew commanders.
Bismarck 23, after winning the past few Bismarck challenges the regiment found themselves competing closer to home within Catterick Garrison. This Bismarck Challenge was different with all 4 runners within a team competing together. The route consisted of mixed terrain over 4 miles with 600 personnel taking place. The Light Dragoons entered 10 teams and won the overall compe- tition once again. Congratulations to all that competed within the event.
