boundaries, with running gun battles on major roads and meeting engagements in small lanes. The Light Dragoons demon- strated how lethal the Jackal can be in expert hands, with squadrons bounding 60 miles in the first 4 hours of the opening mission and infiltrating completely through the enemy frontage. The exercise controllers could not hide the total dominance the Battlegroup had. Light Dragoons delivered one infantry battlegroup onto target so effectively, and blocked reinforcement to it so completely, that the battle was over within four hours instead of the expected

two days. The mission had to be reset to allow the defenders another go. The Light Dragoons are currently scheduled to return to Estonia in 2025 to validate on Ex Spring Storm, and all in the Regiment should be excited about this opportunity.
Lt Erskine ran an excellent PNCO cadre in Brecon, taking students up Pen Y Fan and testing them robustly in the Welsh weather. 38 students began the course with 28 finishing in a fantastic achievement at the beginning of many careers. Congratulations to LCpl Fox who promoted as top student.
