The Oundle Tennis Club has
been a hive of activity since play
restarted again at the end of
March. Judged to be the sport
with the lowest risk of catching
coronavirus, club membership
and usage has increased since the
beginning of the pandemic and
to encourage more people to pick
up a racquet and play, the Club
is offering an up to 30% discount
on annual membership until the end of June.
The Club offers five full size and two mini courts. A schedule of extensive upgrade work has recently been completed and all of the full- sized courts have free-to-use floodlights which allow play until 9.30pm each night.
A busy coaching programme of group and individual lessons, led by Level 4 LTA CCA Performance Coach, James Muir, provides an opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to improve their game. Regular social club sessions, junior & senior club tournaments, a
busy singles ladder and doubles entry in local leagues offer play throughout the year. Members can also book courts to
play in their own time, use the ball machine or bring a guest along for a small fee.
‘Tennis is a fantastic sport. As well as being good exercise (burning up to 1000 calories per hour!), it can be as social or as competitive
as you choose,’ said Jason Atkinson, Club Chairman. ‘The Oundle Tennis Club provides great facilities and a range of opportunities to play. Contact us to arrange a trial session, or sign up through our website. We look forward to seeing you on court!’
The membership discount offer runs until
the end of June, but as the annual membership started at the beginning of May those interested so the most of it and sign up as soon as possible. All details are available on the website or the contact details below can be used to arrange a
visit or to answer questions.
